● Day 1:  Arrival to Urumqi

● Day 2: Urumqi to FuHai (Borul-tokay) via Heavenly lake | A Journey Through Nature and Tranquility (500km)

Walk along the wooden plank path that winds around the lake, offering breathtaking views of emerald-green waters and snow-capped peaks. Take a cable car ride to the mountain’s summit for a panoramic vista of the lake and surrounding landscapes, where the magical colors of the water reflect the sky and mountains like a mirror. ● Day 3: Fuhai to Hemu

As you set out for Hemu village, let the anticipation of exploring one of Xinjiang’s most scenic village fill your heart.  Start your journey by making Short stop at ulungur lake on the way to Hemu village.

Upon arrival in Hemu , embark on a hike along the Hemu River, one of the most scenic trails in the region. As you walk, enjoy the peaceful sounds of the flowing river and the sight of cows grazing lazily by the water’s edge. 

Pass by traditional wooden houses, and soak in the idyllic charm of village life. The hike is a perfect way to immerse yourself in the natural beauty and tranquility of Hemu.

● Day 4: Hemu to Kanas | A Photographer’s Paradise

Arrive in Jiadengyu around noon, where a hearty lunch awaits to recharge you for the adventures ahead. Post-lunch, delve into the heart of Kanas National Park via shuttle bus.

Hop on a shuttle bus to explore the iconic Bay’s of Kanas Lake: The Moon Bay, Dragon Bay, Immortal Bay: Discover the mystical beauty of Moon Bay, Dragon Bay, and Immortal Bay. Each bay offers its own unique charm and breathtaking views. If time permits, consider walking between bays to fully immerse yourself in nature’s splendor.

If time permits, take a leisurely walk between the bays, immersing yourself in the park’s natural splendor and capturing stunning photos along the way.

As the sun begins to set, make your way back to Jiadengyu, where the golden light bathes the landscape in a warm glow. Enjoy a hearty dinner at a local restaurant, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

If you’re up for it, take a leisurely stroll through the village, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere and the beauty of Kanas under the twilight sky.

 

● Day 5:Kanas to Burjin | A Journey Through Misty Valleys and Colorful Landscapes

Tour Details:Start your day with a refreshing breakfast in Hotel set out for a second time visit to Kanas Lake.

Before leaving Kanas, make your way to Fish viewing Pavilion (Bird’s Eye View of Kanas Lake)

 perched high above the lake. Climb to the top for a “bird’s eye view” of the entire landscape. From this vantage point, you’ll see the lake’s winding waters, framed by lush greenery and rugged mountains.

The panoramic view is nothing short of spectacular and offers the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photos and soak in the beauty of Kanas one last time.  

If you are lucky ,you might be able to catch glimpse of lake monster.

 After your visit to Kanas Lake, enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of Xinjiang cuisine. Once you’re refreshed, set out on a scenic drive to Burjin.

Along the way, stop at the breathtaking Wucaitan ( Rainbow Shore), a natural wonder that showcases the incredible diversity of Xinjiang’s landscapes.

The interplay of colors—green, gold, red, and blue—makes Color Shore a photographer’s paradise. Take your time to explore the area, walk along the Irtysh riverbank, and marvel at the natural artistry of this unique landscape.

After soaking in the beauty of Rainbow Shore, continue your drive to Burqin, a charming town known for its Russian influence and vibrant culture. As you travel, enjoy the ever-changing scenery of Xinjiang, from rolling grasslands to rugged mountains.  

Upon arrival in Burqin, check into your hotel and enjoy some free time to explore this quaint town.

 

● ​​​​Day 6: Burqin to Kuitun via Orhu  | A Journey Through the Ghost City and Oil Fields

On the way to Kuitun, make a captivating stop at the "Ghost City", one of China’s most unique and eerie natural landscapes.

The "Ghost City" is the "No. 1 Yardang landform area in China", a surreal landscape shaped by centuries of wind erosion. As you step into this otherworldly terrain, you’ll be greeted by towering rock formations that resemble ancient castles, mythical creatures, and ghostly figures. The wind, blowing in from "Siberia", whistles through the rocks and sands, creating haunting sounds that have earned the area its name.

Legend has it that the wind produces sounds like a "baby’s cry, women’s screams, vendor’s hawking, and ghost’s yelling in anger", adding to the eerie atmosphere. Wander through the labyrinth of rock formations, marveling at the natural artistry and feeling the raw power of nature. The Ghost City is a photographer’s dream and a place that will leave you in awe of the Earth’s geological wonders.

● Day 7: Kuitun to Kashgar via Urumqi | A Grand Finale at Grand Canyon

Your first stop is the Anjihai Grand Canyon, a hidden gem and one of the most beautiful canyons in Xinjiang. As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a dramatic landscape of towering cliffs, deep ravines, and vivid red rock formations that stretch as far as the eye can see.

The canyon’s vibrant colors—ranging from deep reds to golden yellows—create a stunning contrast against the clear blue sky. Every angle offers a new perspective, making it a photographer’s dream.

Capture the beauty of the canyon’s rugged terrain.

Take a leisurely walk along the canyon’s edge, where the sheer scale and beauty of the landscape will leave you in awe. The peaceful atmosphere and the sound of the wind echoing through the canyon create a sense of tranquility and wonder. For the more adventurous, consider a short hike to explore the canyon’s hidden nooks and crannies, where you’ll discover even more of its natural beauty.

After soaking in the grandeur of Anjihai Grand Canyon, continue your journey to Urumqi. As you drive, enjoy the ever-changing scenery of Xinjiang—rolling hills, vast plains, and distant mountains. Upon arrival in Urumqi, your guide and driver will take you to the Urumqi Airport in time for your onward flights to Kashgar.

 After a warm welcome by guide and driver at Kashgar Airport you will be  proceed to your hotel  in Kashgar and take some time to relax and reflect on the day's adventures.

 

● ​​​​​Day 8: Kashgar | Kashgar Old city

Attractions:old town, livestock market, handcraft street, Grand Eid Kah Mosque , Abakh Khoja Tomb

Tour Details: guide and driver will meet you at front of lobby for Kashgar city tour.

Start your Kashgar city tour by visiting Mausoleum of Abakh khoja tomb, also known as the "fragrant concubine tomb in mandarin,whom was the wife of Emperor Qianlong of Qin Dynasty.",it is an ancient building complex and a cemetery of five generations of famous Sufi masters were buried.

Next we will explore the exotic livestock market, one of the biggest in the region where a bustling market that traditional trading methods are still used.

After the livestock Market, you will have your lunch in a Uyghur restaurant then we will wander through the winding narrow streets of the historic Kashgar Old Town rubbing shoulders with friendly Uyghur residents.

 Located at the spiritual heart of the Old Town is Eid Kah Mosque, one of the largest mosque in China. We will go inside and learn about more about its architecture and religion.

After our visit to the Mosque, we will stroll down Handicraft Street, viewing pots being hammered,wood craftsmen at work and traditional musical instrument workshops.

After the tour, you will be brought back to your hotel.

 

● ​​​​​Day 9: Kashgar to Tashkurgan | Explore the Stunning Karakorum highway  

Attractions: Karakorum highway ,Upal Village, Red Mountain，white sand mountain also called Bulungkol , Karakul Lake,Mt.Muztagh Ata (7546 meters) and Mt.Kongur Tagh (7719 meters) Pamir plateau

Hotel: Over night in Tashkurgan

Tour Details: After your breakfast at the hotel,you will meet with our guide and driver for Karakorum highway adventure .

Embark on one of the most extraordinary road journeys on earth - the Karakorum Highway - into the Pamir Plateau, the "Roof of the World" and the deepest section of the ancient China Silk Road;  the mountainous road between Kashgar and Pakistan is Xinjiang's unequivocal highlight.

We will see the following on our drive: Upal Village, an-hour drive from Kashgar, is a good location to take photos of village life and traditional activities like bread making and Uyghur food stalls. There is a village market here on Monday's. Half an hour's drive from the village we arrive at Oytagh Red Mountain.

The mountain valley is surrounded by a beautiful backdrop of multi-colored mountains to topped by snow-capped peaks.

After permit check point we will arrive to white sand mountain also called Bulungkol in local language,it is a tranquil shallow lake where you can take very nice photographs of the lake with stunning reflections of the sand mountains.

Karakul Lake is 3600 meters above sea level. It is located between Mt.Muztagh Ata (7546 meters) and Mt.Kongur Tagh (7719 meters), said to be 2 of the 6 most beautiful mountains in the world.

We can visit local Kirghiz yurts before heading to Tashkurgan. For your lunch,you can either have a lunch in a Kirghiz yurt or bring your own fruit and bread from Upal Village and picnic by the lake.

After lunch, you can do short hike by the lake on foot or rent a camel or horse and ride along the lake. After the tour, you will proceed to Tashkurgan for spend the night.

 

● ​​​​​​Day 10: Tashkurgan to Kashgar | Pamir landmarks

Attractions: Stone City, Tashkurgan Grassland, Tashkurgan Cultural and Custom Museum,karakorum highway , Tagharma grassland ,Subash pass, Karakul Lake, white sand mountain also called Bulungkol (this two lakes can be visited twice or just once depending on weather and light) Red Mountain Canyon

day starts by visiting Stone Fort which means “Tashkurgan” it is a small town on the Pamir Plateau, that was once extremely isolated until the rebuilding of the Karakorum Highway in 1987.

Even today, the local community, reached by this single road from Kashgar, continues to live a traditional way of life. This region is known to be part of the primary route of the "Old Silk Road" connecting China and Western Asia.

The prime attraction here is the Stone Fort, with a history of more than 2000 years. The fort had once served as the central palace of the Tajik Kingdom.

 

here will be followed by the Tashkurgan grassland which is next to the Stone Fort. Tashkurgan Grassland is where you can visit free grazing sheep, goat, yak,and horses. In summer, locals put up tents and serve lunch and dinner for tourists. Last but not least, you will visit Tashkurgan cultural and custom museum that is where you can learn about Tajik culture and customs. Once you are done with your visit, then you will be driving back to Kashgar.

Driving from other direction of karakorum highway towards to Kashgar could make you fell as if you are driving on different road ,as the mountains and lake colors look different depending on time of day and lights.

After karakul lake and white sand mountain you will arrive to Red Mountain canyon ,Canyon is closed to transportation , only way to get in is by hike.

Our driver will find safe spot to pull over the car by Karakorom Highway for short hike in red mountain canyon ,you will have to walk for 10 -15 minutes in order to reach canyon entrance.

Canyon is formed during gemological movement and you will find breathtaking natural erosion ,different formation by rain and water,you can hike and wonder inside canyon for an hour to an hour half depending on timing then continue your journey back to kashgar.

Notice:  this canyon is not a tourist scenic spot ,For your own safety don not climb mountain. 

 

● ​​​​​​Day 11: Kashgar Airport See Off

Tour Details: After your breakfast at the hotel, our guide and driver will take you to the Kashgar Airport in time for your onward flights to your next destination.
